Dubrovnik is one of the most beautiful cities in Croatia. If you are looking for Dubrovnik hotels with private beach, you are in luck, because there are several such options in this city. But not all best hotels in Croatia are proud of their beaches, information about some is very hard to find, it may be a modest mention on the hotel website, and one photo hidden among hundreds of others. After reading this review and looking at the photos taken by the hotels themselves, you will understand why this is the case.

Dubrovnik beach hotels

Rixos Premium Dubrovnik

The hotel was formerly called Rixos Libertas Dubrovnik. It is located near the Dubrovnik Old Town and gives its guests access to a private beach, which is right in front of the hotel. The photo shows that the hotel is actually cut into a rocky slope, so there is no gentle, familiar beach. The beach of Rixos Premium Dubrovnik is a wooden platform with equipped slopes into the sea. There are sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach, which are free of charge for hotel guests. There are showers, a children's playground and a bar serving refreshments and snacks. This beach hotel is a 15-minute walk from the town centre.

Hotel Neptun 4*

The private beach of the Importanne Resort Hotel (Neptun 4*) is a 15-minute drive from Dubrovnik's Old Town and a few steps away from the hotel. It is stony, with sunbathing areas. The beach has sun loungers and umbrellas, which are free of charge for hotel guests. There is also a restaurant serving Mediterranean specialities.

The beach has been awarded the Blue Flag. Neptun Hotel 4* is part of the Importanne Resort complex, located on the Lapad Peninsula, with the Old Town just 4 km away. The complex includes the Royal Princess, Importanne Suites, Ariston and Villa Elita hotels. Their guests enjoy all the services of the complex.

Hotel Dubrovnik Palace

The Dubrovnik Palace Hotel is located on the seafront, with the beach directly in front of the hotel. It consists of terraces on the cliffs with direct access to the sea. As is customary in a decent place, there are sun loungers and umbrellas, which are free of charge for hotel guests. There is also a restaurant on the beach. The Hotel Dubrovnik Palace itself is surrounded by pine trees on the first line, a 10-minute drive to the historic city centre. The beach has a special children's playground with various toys and entertainment to keep the youngest ones entertained.

Hotel Bellevue Dubrovnik

Hotel Bellevue Dubrovnik – The beach is located on the quiet shores of Lapad Bay. Umbrellas, sun loungers and beach towels are provided free of charge. The beach is coarse-pebbly, in some places sandy. The entrance to the sea is gradual, suitable for holidays with children. Hotels can compete with the interior, list of services, quality of service, but it is difficult and often impossible to compete with nature. Therefore, thanks to its favourable natural location, the Hotel Bellevue is indeed one of the best beach hotels in Dubrovnik. There are two piers on the beach, one of which is often used for water polo practice during the day. There may be a shortage of sunbeds if a lot of guests from the city have arrived.

Grand Villa Argentina

The hotel also has its own private beach. But here the beach is a platform equipped with metal ladders to get down into the water, as well as an outdoor pool and sun beds. There are umbrellas, but the location of the beach in the sun, without the natural shade of trees, little save from the heat. Nevertheless, many people like it. Access to the Grand Villa Argentina beach is free for hotel guests only. Other people can access the beach for a fee. Complimentary beach towels are included in the servsices. The hotel provides babysitting services and a kids club for children. A couple of hundred metres from the hotel's beach is Banye Town Pebble Beach with two water slides.

Valalmar Dubrovnik President Hotel

The Valamar Lacroma resort has several pebble beaches and a special children's beach with shallow water and plenty of entertainment for children. Valamar Lactoma Hotel 4* is located on a hill, 300 metres from the sea. Other hotels nearby know that access to the beach is via the Valalmar Dubrovnik President Hotel, which is a short walk through a wonderful park. For guests staying at friendly hotels, sunbeds, umbrellas, towels are available at a 50% discount.

The pebble beach at the Dubrovnik President Valamar Collection Hotel is large. Unlike the rocky beaches of most hotels, the beaches of Valamar Lacroma are more natural and pleasant for relaxation, awarded with the Blue Flag. Capocabana beach is 500 metres away and Lapad is 1 km away.

Royal Ariston

Hotel Royal Ariston has a private stony beach. Sun loungers, parasols and towels are free of charge. There is an outdoor swimming pool with a terrace and sea view. Parking at the hotel – 10 euros per day. Copacabana Beach is 650 metres away and Lapad Bay Beach is 1.1 km.

Villa Dubrovnik

Villa Dubrovnik has a private beach, located on a rocky ledge and equipped with sun beds and parasols. It offers spectacular views of the Adriatic and the Old Town. Of course, the rocks get very hot in the sun and it is unlikely that you can stay here for long during the day. On the other hand, it's only a 6-minute walk to St Jacob's Beach.

Hotel More

Hotel More has a small concreted terrace with slopes into the sea and sunbeds with umbrellas. I wouldn't call it a beach, but there are places to dip and swim. The five-star Boutique hotel More itself, with its outdoor pool, is quite nice. Fortunately, Lapad Bay beach and Copacabana beach are close by.

Sun Gardens Dubrovnik

Sun Gardens Dubrovnik Hotel (formerly Radisson Blu Resort & SPA) 5* This is a huge complex with its own neat beach studded with small and medium pebbles. Entrance to the water through large pebbles. Large territory, many pools, SPA, and so on. To the centre of Dubrovnik – 11 km.

Hotel Excelsior

The description of the hotel states that it has its own beach. In the photos we managed to find a view from above, where we can see a tiled platform with sun loungers. For a better angle, the umbrellas were probably removed for the time of filming. It is known that Hotel Excelsior Dubrovnik is famous for its spa centre with an indoor pool, which is also available to guests of nearby hotels such as Villa Orsula.

The Valamar Argosy Hotel is sometimes mentioned in reviews, it is indeed located near the sea but does not formally have its own beach. It's just next to the public Copacabana Beach, direct access to which gives the impression that there is a private beach.

In this article I did not dwell on describing the advantages or disadvantages of the mentioned Croatia hotels. Naturally they all have a wonderful panoramic views of the Adriatic Sea, beachfront hotels the aim is to list the hotels with private beach and to understand what these beaches are like. This will make it much easier for you to choose a hotel for your holiday in Dubrovnik.
