Zagreb

zet info Zet info is an application for Zagreb city transport. It shows the timetable, how long you have to wait at a particular stop before the transport arrives. There is a map and a route planner, with which you can find a way to get from point A to point B. Official passenger-related news is automatically pulled from ZET transport company channels and, thanks to the programme's user community, can be updated with user messages. The abbreviation ZET stands for Zagreb Electric Tramway. Now ZET is not only in charge of trams, but all public transport in Zagreb. These include city buses, funicular railway and school buses. Zagreb has implemented a traffic monitoring and management system, which allows external applications to receive information from it. Zadar

The public transport in Zadar is operated by the company Luburnija, which offers its Smartica application. The application is used to purchase, activate and validate digital tickets for public transport in Zadar. SMARTICA users can purchase: one ticket for one journey for the amount of 10.00 kuna (up to 50 minutes), two tickets for two journeys for the amount of 16.00 kuna (up to 50 minutes). In addition to public transport, it is also possible to purchase a travel ticket for the route Zadar – Airport and Airport – Zadar at a price of 25.00 HRK. When purchasing a digital ticket in the app, the user receives an SMS message about the payment. The ticket remains in the app and after entering the vehicle the user activates it using validators. In Zadar, a similar contract (subscription) system is practised. In this case, the fee is charged from the passenger on a monthly basis, but for users of electronic vouchers (tickets) – immediately.

Rijeka

Split

Although it's a big city, they don't have an app. Information can be found on the website of the local transport company Promet Split

Dubrovnik

Pula

In addition to regular tickets, Pula has introduced a rechargeable smart card, which can be used to buy monthly passes, which are more favourable than single tickets. For example, if a single ticket costs 15 kuna, the smart card will cost 11 kuna. The smart card can be refilled at newsagents in Pula, as well as at some points in Medulin, Fažana, Vodnjan, Poslovnica. GetByPass app

getbybus Croatia Usually there are local transport management systems within one city, as in the example of Zagreb's ZET. If you need to travel between cities using different companies, it is more difficult to find out the timetable and work out a route. In this case, the GetByPass app can help. It works in Croatia, as well as Montenegro, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Italy, Slovenia, Poland, Czech Republic. In Croatia GetByPass co-operates with 54 bus carriers, 38 of which are engaged in intercity flights, 6 in bus transportation to airports, 27 in buses and minibuses for rent. In the application it is possible to select routes, book and buy tickets through the application itself or its partners. However, buying online bus tickets in Croatia is not available from all carriers. According to GetByPass: “Not all bus companies are interested in selling tickets online”. Note that this is not only true for Croatia. The fare may not be final. For example, at large bus stations you will have to pay an additional station fee (5-10 kuna). For luggage that does not fit in the cabin, but needs to be placed in the luggage compartment, you will also have to pay an extra 5-10 kuna to the driver of the national bus. GetByPasswebsite

HŽPP planer

With its help it is possible to view train timetables, track their GPS positions (only for electric trains), receive notifications about delays, schedule changes, plan routes. Information about the possibility of transporting bicycles or travelling with a wheelchair is available. The application sends out a message about promotional fares or important changes in operation. HŽPP Planer exists for Android. There is a separate HŽPP Karte (Android) and iOS app for buying railway tickets online, the app requires a tax number (OIB) when registering.
